ABSTRACT

Within the times and technology, automatically there is a competition within the industry. This requires us to improve the ability (skills) to better understand and explore how the work system in the world of industry (industrial machine). The heavy equipment industry desperately needed by many as a tool to build and create the development of the world. Besides the growing technology, particularly heavy equipment, then in terms of human resources who know and understand about the heavy equipment must also be improved. Where technological advances in heavy equipment could be meaningless if not supported by qualified human resources in the field of heavy equipment.

In the heavy equipment industry there are various kinds of machines or units which can not be separated from the hydraulic system. In the hydraulic system, there are many components which vary greatly both in form and function. So to get a qualified human resources needed to do the learning on the hydraulic system. But the fact is there are still many obstacles in understanding the system due to lack of instructional media that are visually apparent in accordance with actual working system.
To overcome this problem the authors make a device simulator as a medium of learning. Simulator Variable Displacement Axial Piston Pump explain the workings of the pump as well as discussion of the damage, especially damage caused by the pump inlet retraction. With this simulator, it is hoped all graduates of Polytechnic TEDC Bandung, especially majoring of Heavy Equipment and all readers in general, a better understanding and understanding of variable displacement axial piston pump.
